AFTERCARE

Filler
Injectable filler can be used to add volume to targeted areas of the face, smooth out wrinkles, and subtly harmonize the face for a more balanced appearance. Fillers can be used within the lips, temples, cheeks, jaw, chin, around the mouth and under the eyes, and can also be used to change the appearance of the nose. Filler treatment is well-tolerated, with relatively little to no downtime. However, there are some aspects of filler aftercare that lead to the best recovery and results.

To reduce any bruising and/or swelling, you should try to ice the treatment area as frequently as possible in the first 24-48 hours. You may also choose to sleep with an extra pillow to reduce morning swelling, and avoid strenuous activity for the first 48 hours, also to reduce post-exercise swelling.

Immediately after filler treatment you may notice some slight irritation at the injection site, but expect it to go away in the first day or so. You also may notice some swelling, bruising, or unevenness in your facial symmetry, which generally fades away in around a week  If you notice more serious side effects, contact the office immediately.

Radiofrequency Skin  Tightening

Light application of soothing/moisturizing lotions, creams or gels to the treatment area; cool, moisturizing mists applied as you feel necessary; cool water rinses or ice packs applied to the treatment area.

IV THERAPY

Apply pressure to site for 2 minutes after IV has been removed, keep Band-Aid in place for 1 hour, cold packs and elevating your arm can be used for any bruising at the site. Cold packs can also be used for pain relief and to decrease any swelling at the site. Any swelling should be significantly reduced in 24 hours. Post IV infusion symptoms are uncommon. Dehydration is the cause of most symptoms and concerns. We encourage you to drink at least 1-2 16oz. bottles of water after your IV infusion. If enough water is not consumed, you may experience any of the following symptoms: headaches, nausea, joint pain, blurred vision, cramping (GI and/or muscular), mental confusion  or disorientation.
